PubCon - After the Conference!
Wow. Just got back from a week in Vegas. I’m exhausted, but it was an awesome experience. I learned a whole lot about social media, SEO, and how social media can help with SEO. When we put this trip together we were working for one company and had lots of ideas for what we could do with what we learn. Now that we’re with a different company, maybe I don’t know totally what use I am going to get out of it that I can use for my day job. The ones who paid for the trip.

Since I’m not a developer, I decided to go through all of the design and social media tracks, just to make sure we got complete coverage. The other guys did a good job of coverage on the others, so I could stay focused and got a complete view of what people were bringing to the table. The new company has a whole social media group, and I am not part of that group. I know I can send ideas up the chain, and I will, but who knows where they will end up or who will get credit for it. Wouldn’t be the first time my ideas were chomped up by another manager somewhere down the road. But, like the good employee I am, I’ll dutifully send it in.
I want to thank Laura Fitton (Pistachio) and Vanessa Fox for turning me on to Twitter and how it can be used. I’m itching to try it.
For the rest of this year, I’ll be focused on Christmas, the new baby, and trying to stay sane. The last is a lofty goal.
