Things are Changing
Now that football is over, I must say…I have no free time still. As soon as the season was over, we find out that our company is being acquired by our biggest competitor and I pick up a project outside of my paying gig. The kind of stuff I can really sink my teeth in, but I can’t let it divert my attention to my work. Work that is going to completely be directed at the integration between our site and theirs. Is it the kind of work I want to do? No, but at least I have a job…
We re-released TheChristianPulse.com with a new design a while back and we’ve had a pretty big bump in activity and such. I’ve poured a lot of work in it and hope it helps people connect, and helps artists find new audiences. Aaron, the founder has put a lot of heart into it, and I really do hope it works out for him. And I hope he finds a wife soon. Haha.
Thanksgiving is on the way and instead of driving forever to see family, we are heading up to Lake Lanier Islands for dinner and to see Santa. It is bound to be a good time, and a great kick-off for the holidays. The lake will be down, but it is supposed to be really cold. I do think it will be really strange not seeing the family beyond the 5 of us.
The other big thing is that I’ll be going to WebmasterWorld Pubcon in two weeks. It is in Las Vegas, so at least I won’t be too bored. I don’t gamble, but there is lots of people-watching to keep me occupied.
