Halo 2 Maps are Coming!
Talk about building buzz for a release! Microsoft and Bungie have just announced (Well, last week…) new maps for Halo 2. There is still no word on when the Halo 3 Beta is going to start, but there is finally something a new reason for us White Box (360) owners to dive back into the world of Halo for. These new maps are scheduled to be released on April 17th and will be sold online in a 2 map pack.
Check out Bungie.net for complete details…well, complete as they will be right now.
The maps are remakes of the original Halo favorites ‘Hang ‘em High’ and ‘Derelict,’ called ‘Tombstone,’ and ‘Desolation.’ If you read the above article, you can see a couple of screenshots for each of them.
I seriously think this is genius, building buzz like this. Plus, they are going against recent rumors and actually releasing the maps for both the Xbox and the Xbox 360. So, now while we are waiting on the Beta to start, we’ll have new maps to play with. And for those people who are waiting on Halo 3 to get the 360, they have something to keep their minds on Halo, and not those silly PS3 machines.
